In the Bible, God entrusted Noah and his family with the care of the animals of the world aboard a great ark. Trusting God’s plan, Noah faithfully built the ark, and God safely carried its passengers through the storm and a great flood. The story of Noah reminds us of God’s love, protection, and faithfulness, even in life’s most difficult moments. As you enter this Children’s Hospital, we hope that this ark and its animals will remind you that every child is precious and deeply loved by God. We are committed to caring for your children with compassion, skill, and wisdom, trusting God to guide us in all that we do. The animals you see throughout the hospital have stepped out of Noah’s Ark to accompany you on your journey here. May they bring wonder, comfort, and joy to your family. And as the rainbow reminded Noah of God’s presence, may it remind you that whatever the outcomes of life’s challenges, with God you will always go forth in joy and peace.
Padmashri Prem Watsa, a ‘distinguished alumnus’ of IIT Madras, is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Fairfax Financial Holdings. Dubbed the ‘Canadian Warren Buffett’, Mr. Watsa, who migrated to Canada with limited funds, worked hard to pay for and complete his college education, before transforming a small, struggling trucking insurance company, Markel Financial, into a globally successful investment and insurance company.
Mr. Watsa is known for his value investing philosophy and his long-standing commitment to philanthropy, with a focus on education and healthcare initiatives. Apart from the Padma Shri, Mr. Watsa, who has leadership roles in various universities and non-profit organisations, has also been awarded the Order of Canada, one of the country’s highest honours.
Mr. Watsa, who serves on the Board of Trustees of SickKids/The Hospital for Sick Children, and chairs their Investment Committee, has demonstrated his consistent interest in and support of quality paediatric care.

A philanthropist at heart, Mr. Isaac set up Careworks Foundation and the Ajit Isaac Foundation to positively impact the healthcare, livelihood, and opportunities for the marginalised sections of society. Job creation is the prime focus at Quess Corp with the aim to break the cycle of poverty by providing good and equal education along with right skills to all.
Ajit Isaac is a first-generation entrepreneur and the driving force behind India’s largest business services provider – Quess Corp. A nominee for the India Forbes Leadership Award and voted as a finalist in the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award, Mr. Isaac serves as the chairman of the organisation. He built two of India’s largest human resource companies—People One Consulting (acquired by Adecco Group) and Quess Corp.
